this would be the place marco and i visited the week of July 14, our anniversary. (i can't believe we have been married for a year. it seems like SO much longer. haha. ) ohio was absolutely wonderful and really beautiful and not really what i had expected. although i'm not really sure what it was i expected. anywho, we had such a wonderful time. we were able to stay with my sister, her hubby and my little nephew (i will refer to him as "B" since i don't want to have his name floating around everywhere). he is the most adorable baby in the whole world. really. i love him oh so much and i'm sad that they don't live near us so we can be more apart of his life. i must say i do miss him along with my sis and bro-in-law. they are pretty awesome as well.
okay. so back to our trip. the first day we got there we went the Amish country with my parents, cousins (they drove up from NJ to see us), my sis and B. it was really fun. this was on saturday.
on monday, the day of our anniversary, marco and i went to a african safari themed waterpark. it was a really great day. we enjoyed hanging out with each other and going down all the waterslides and floating in the lazy river (where i enjoyed trying to push marco under all the waterfalls, it was pretty funny). when we finished there we ate at Ruby Tuesday for dinner as we had never been there before and we had heard a lot about it. it was muy delicioso. in case you were wondering what we got each other for our anniversary (the 1st year is the paper anniversary) - marco made me a bouquet out of flowers which was very well done i must say, and him being the awesome, incredible, wonderful, amazing and magnificent guy that he is, also bought me a diamond necklace. it is really beautiful. i bought marco tickets to see john pizzarelli (a jazz guitarist/singer) that he has been wanting to see. we are excited to go to that.
on wednesday we went to kirtland and check out the temple and other church historical sites in the area. it was a neat experience and i could definitely feel the spirit at the Newel K. Whitney store and their home.
on thursday (at least i think it was thursday, although it might have been tuesday) we went to have lunch with my bro-in-law as he had to work while we were there (stupid). it was a fun lunch and afterward, marco, sis, B and I went to the botanical gardens in cleveland and an art museum. the gardens were incredible, albeit very VERY hot.
on friday we went to the cleveland zoo and looked at a lot of monkeys. B really enjoyed this and it was fun to see him respond to all the monkeys. we saw a few other animals of course but they aren't really worth mentioning. when we finished at the zoo we went back to the apartment and discovered the power had gone out which totally sucked as bro-in-law was supposed to make his wonderful pizza for dinner. we ended up ordered papa john's and ate that amidst some mood lighting (courtesy of the candles).
saturday was the day we went home and we pretty much hung out the whole morning and my bro-in-law was able to make his pizza for lunch as the power came back on. it was scrumptious.
so that was our trip to ohio and i know i am forgetting some things and that this really isn't put together very well. sorry if it is a little hard to read. i will post some pictures another day as i don't feel like looking through the bajillions that marco took. until next time.

Fun, fun, fun! By the way it's amidst, you might want to fix that or people will think you never took language in school. Sorry the reading clinician in me. I can't wait to see what pictures you post. The ones we took of you and Sez with Kimi are way cute. Did you see B's latest blog entry? I know, he's so easy to miss.
We had a great time, too. Oh, and I don't mind if you say 'B's' real name. It's just as cute as he is :) We're SOOOOOOOOOOO glad you decided to come visit us in oh-hi-oh-hi-oh. HUGS!
