freedom, fireworks and fun

yesterday was the 4th of July and I have to say, it was a pretty great 4th of July. marco worked from 6-12 that morning so i did stuff that at this time i can't remember. i do, however, remember what i did after he got off work. we decided to begin our celebration of the 4th by going to the olive garden for lunch. we had their $5.99 lunch special which is unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. pretty great deal if you ask me.
after we finished our lunch we decided to walk around the mall. while at the mall we went to where we bought marco's wedding band and finally, after being married for almost a year (so i guess for our anniversary) i am having marco's ring engraved. it is something we get for free since we bought the ring from them. i am excited to get it back and give it to marco. he has NO idea what i had engraved on it as that was part of the deal. :)
when we were done at the mall we headed over to marco's parents' home to pick them up and head over to the place we were going to watch fireworks. we went to peralta canyon park in anaheim hills. they had booths of food and a stage where this band was performing. some of their songs were a little, let's say, special. it was really fun and the firework show was absolutely wonderful. i must say it was a fabulous day.

this doesn't really have much to do with freedom, fireworks or fun, but i thought i would provide an update of my leg. the bruise has gotten bigger, darker and much, much uglier. i went to the drs. to have it checked out and he said that i can expect it to get bigger and to be there for a long time. he said that i have a very large hematoma and it is starting to dissipate which is why my bruise will continue to grow in size. he told me that i have to massage the bruise to help with the whole process (which totally sucks because it hurts like heck to do so). but all is well and i'm no longer walking with a limp (in otherwords, the folks at work have stopped calling my gimpy).

We get to see you in a week too! How 'citing! We saw fireworks tonight, screwy NJ people, and it was fun. We went to the Morris County College and, we had Sarah and Chris with us!!!! I know, even more 'citing! We'll ALL be together in a week. Glad you had a fun fourth and that the bruise is no longer gimpified.
