day at the beach

i thought i would blog about my day while i wait for Marco to come home with a movie & treats.

i had a splendid afternoon/evening with my love.
the US Open of Surfing was being held at Huntington Beach.
the bands Hot Hot Heat and Weezer were playing and the concert was free so Marco thought it would be fun to go.
he was right.

isn't Marco's hair terrific. i love his curls.

it makes me think of a poem:

"there once was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead.

when she was good she was very, very good, but when she was bad she was horrid."

proof we were at the US Open of Surfing.

the guy that is really far away in the yellow jacket is the lead singer of Weezer.
